The first version of the service will not accept the following items.

  • Prescription and over-the-counter medicines
  • Power banks, spare lithium batteries, portable power stations, large storage batteries and e-bike batteries
  • E-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, rechargeable hand warmers, cordless hair irons and other battery-powered products designed to generate heat
  • Battery-powered devices showing damage, swelling, deformation, unusual heat, water damage, recall status or another known abnormality
  • Drones, remote-controlled models and other remotely operated devices
  • Products labelled or sold by their manufacturer as medical devices, even if they contain no medicine
  • Valuable or fragile items such as expensive watches, jewellery, cameras, computers, precision equipment, glassware, ceramics, musical instruments, art and antiques
  • Cash, securities, gift vouchers, tickets, credit cards, cash cards and similar items
  • Passports, residence cards, driving licences and other important or difficult-to-replace documents
  • Irreplaceable manuscripts, photographs and recordings, or data without a backup
  • Human or animal bodies, remains or ashes, memorial tablets and household Buddhist altars
  • Live animals, insects and fish, and living plants including flowers, seedlings and potted plants
  • Fresh, opened or homemade food; food needing temperature control; and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Alcoholic drinks over 24% ABV or of unknown strength
  • Explosives, fuel, compressed gas, aerosols, and anything flammable, combustible, corrosive, toxic or otherwise dangerous
  • Anything affected by pests, mould, decay, contamination, damp, leakage or a strong smell that may harm other luggage
  • Firearms, ammunition, swords restricted by law, and anything unlawful or contrary to public order

We will not accept valuable or fragile items until the insurance cover and limits are confirmed in writing. We have not yet set a monetary threshold.

Items we plan to accept with conditions

The following categories have specific storage conditions. If you drop your bag off by delivery company, or have it sent on afterwards, the carrier’s own conditions apply as well. We will not begin accepting an item that needs individual confirmation from a delivery company until that confirmation is complete.

Solid food

  • Retail, unopened, undamaged packaging and suitable for storage at room temperature
  • A best-before or use-by date later than your requested pick-up date
  • The specific contents declared by name

Alcoholic drinks

  • Retail, unopened and no more than 24% ABV; no more than two bottles per booking
  • The product name, strength and number of bottles declared
  • Each closure secured, each bottle placed in a sealed bag with absorbent material, and the bottles cushioned so they cannot move

Low-risk toiletry liquids

  • Room-temperature products with no flammable, corrosive, toxic or other hazardous properties, such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, lotion and liquid sunscreen
  • The exact product declared, with caps and pumps secured
  • Each container in a sealed bag, all liquids inside a second waterproof bag, with absorbent material
  • Any refill container labelled with its contents

We do not accept perfume, nail polish or remover, alcohol-based sanitiser, fuel, oil, paint, adhesive, bleach, strong cleaning products, pesticides, aerosols or other pressurised containers, hazardous or unidentified liquids. Except for qualifying alcohol, we do not accept liquids in glass containers.

Solid supplements

  • Retail, unopened tablets, capsules or powders that are not medicines and can be stored at room temperature
  • A best-before or use-by date later than your requested pick-up date, with the product name and type declared

Quasi-drugs and solid cosmetics

  • A retail solid or powder product that can be stored at room temperature and has no hazardous properties
  • The exact product declared, with its undamaged container secured and placed in a sealed bag

Ordinary blades and hand tools

  • Lawful items such as kitchen knives, scissors, utility knives, awls, pruning shears, saws, axes, screwdrivers, spanners, pliers and hammers
  • Each item declared by its specific name (and written on the shipping label if you send it by delivery company)
  • Every blade and sharp edge fully protected by a strong sheath, case or cover, with the whole item cushioned and secured so it cannot move
  • No fuel, oil, gas, gunpowder or residue

We will not begin accepting blades or hand tools until the delivery-company checks are complete.

Devices with an installed battery

A normal retail device is only a candidate for acceptance when every condition below is met.

  • The battery is correctly installed in the device, with no spare or removed batteries packed with it
  • The device is completely powered off and protected from switching on accidentally
  • There is no known swelling, deformation, damage, unusual heat, water damage, hard impact, recall or other abnormality
  • You declare the type and number of devices (and write the specific contents on the shipping label if you send it by delivery company)
  • You follow the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid leaving it fully charged

We do not charge devices while they are stored. Carrier rules may prevent air transport, which can mean transport by land and sea and a later arrival. We do not accept a device that also falls into another excluded category, such as a valuable or fragile item, drone, remote-controlled model or medical device.

Your declaration and external checks

We do not open your luggage. We rely on your declaration for the contents, batteries, condition, dates and packing. Tell us the specific contents when booking and when you hand the luggage over.

At intake, a photo showing the whole bag and its numbered label is taken and the number of bags is checked. Minor scratches are not checked. If an obvious problem is noticed, such as a tear, a large dent, damp, leakage, a smell, pests or mould, it is recorded, the bag is kept away from other luggage and made safe, and we contact you.

What we are still confirming

  • Carrier-specific declarations, packing, quantity, capacity, labelling, air, land and sea conditions for restricted items
  • Additional delivery time when devices with installed batteries cannot travel by air
  • Isolation, return, disposal, contact and cost arrangements if a prohibited or undeclared item is discovered after arrival
  • Insurance cover and limits, and any future acceptance threshold for valuable or fragile items

This is pre-booking guidance, not an official versioned prohibited-items policy. We will confirm and publish the conditions that apply before booking opens.

Preparing to launch in Tokushima

We will publish the applicable luggage conditions and terms after a partner facility and all launch conditions are confirmed.
